A Loveland man has been taken into custody following reports of multiple break-ins at the Prairiestar homes. Roger Rickard faced arrest after a string of burglaries in the Berthoud area, with Larimer County deputies linking him to the thefts that accumulated over $13,700 in stolen property. This series of events commenced last Sunday when deputies were alerted to an attempted burglary; the homeowner deterred the suspect before deputies could arrive on the scene.
The following day, residents reported stolen items from their garages, sparking an investigation that led to Rickard’s apprehension. Law enforcement located Rickard’s vehicle, which yielded a significant amount of stolen goods. A subsequent search warrant for Rickard’s storage unit, residence, and vehicle turned up additional stolen items.
