Shelter-in-place issued in Arvada area as police attempt to ‘contact suspect’

DENVER (KDVR) — A shelter-in-place has been issued on Wednesday for residents and businesses in the area of Wadsworth Bypass and Ralston Road.

The Arvada Police Department said at 12:16 p.m. that the shelter-in-place has been issued in the areas of 5863 Pierce St. and a shopping center located at 7355 Ralston Rd.

According to the agency, the shelter-in-place is due to officers “attempting to contact” an alleged suspect at the Arvada Village apartment complex, located at 5839 Pierce St.
