Boulder police arrest man who reportedly swung machete

Boulder police arrested a man last week who had reportedly been swinging a machete at at least one person.

Police used a drone to find the suspect who had left the scene. In a video posted to the department’s social media on Thursday, the man can be seen walking in the area of a housing complex, according to the post. Police say the man also stole a bicycle. Police said the suspect’s white clothing, which they described as being “not unlike a 90s era Backstreet Boy,” made him easier to spot.

Officers arrested the man at 30th Street and Mapleton Avenue. He was booked in the Boulder County Jail on charges of felony menacing, theft and obstructing an officer, according to the post…
