On November 2, 2025, Boulder Police arrested Matthew Kiriazis, 35, after a domestic disturbance in the 4700 block of Edison Ave. Police responded around 1:30 a.m. after reports that a 21-year-old woman was being held against her will. SWAT and Air1 assisted at the scene. The suspect surrendered at about 6:50 a.m. The victim received medical treatment for injuries at the scene.
Kiriazis is charged with first-degree kidnapping, third-degree assault, misdemeanor menacing, violation of a protection order, and domestic violence. Police are still investigating and ask anyone with information to contact them.
