Firefighters rescue dog trapped in culvert in Denver

Firefighters in the Denver metro area rescued a dog that got trapped in a culvert last Thursday night.

According to a Facebook post from the South Adams County Fire Department, firefighters responded to the incident at around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 when a resident’s dog, Pebbles, chased a rabbit into an 18 inch culvert.

The rescue team members had to execute a confined space entry to retrieve the dog. The rescuer used specialized equipment and techniques to crawl into the culvert approximately 100 feet to perform the technical rescue…
