Berthoud Woman Shot By Deputies Receives Five Year Sentence

A Berthoud woman who was shot by deputies after eluding law enforcement was sentenced to five years in Community Corrections on Monday, according to court records. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, 55 year old Emily Minugh pleaded guilty Sept. 10 to two felonies — menacing with a real or simulated weapon and vehicular eluding; for both charges, she was sentenced to five years in Community Corrections, with an exception from 8th Judicial District Judge Susan Blanco, that if rehabilitation isn’t successful, she will be transferred to the Department of Corrections for a seven-year sentence with two years of probation…
