DENVER (KDVR) — An 18-year-old man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to two felony charges related to claims he attempted to kidnap a 15-year-old girl near Thornton Middle School in April.
The man, identified as Steven Houseman, pleaded guilty in Adams County court to felony second-degree kidnapping and criminal attempt sexual assault.
Arrest made after attempted abduction near Thornton Middle School
Houseman was accused of attempting to grab the girl as she was walking near Thornton Middle School the morning of April 28. The girl resisted the attempt, and Houseman fled the area, Thornton police said at the time.
The attempted abduction was caught on camera by surveillance footage and, following a brief search, Houseman was arrested the next morning on Thornton High School property, police said…
