DENVER (KDVR) — A man is facing several charges, including attempted murder of a peace officer, after allegedly accelerating into a Frederick Police Department vehicle on Tuesday night.
Around 6:25 p.m., the Frederick Police Department said it was notified that a white Toyota Tacoma pickup reportedly fled from a “disturbance” in the town of Firestone. The pickup was found in the town of Frederick, heading westbound on Highway 52.
The pickup initially stopped as officers tried to contact the driver, however, before officers could make contact, the police department said the driver allegedly accelerated away from the traffic stop, made a U-turn and “rammed” into the driver’s side door of the police vehicle…
