DENVER (KDVR) — Living in Colorado isn’t known to be cheap, with what it takes to have a “middle class” income in the state rising more than most.
In several Colorado cities, however, even the lower-middle class is more out of reach than most. A new study from GOBankingRates found that in three Colorado cities, you need an income well over $100,000 to be considered “lower-middle class,” some of the highest rates in the country.
“Middle class” is defined by the Pew Research Center as between two-thirds and double the median household income for an area.
