Driver escapes with life after plummeting from highway into mountain town reservoir

A driver survived a terrifying ordeal on the night of December 8, after driving off of a highway and into a reservoir located in northern Colorado.

The incident unfolded around 6:30 p.m. in the mountain town of Nederland. A driver reportedly traveled off of Highway 119 around mile marker 26.6, ending up in Barker Reservoir (also known as Barker Meadow Reservoir) as a result.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was able to self-extricate, ultimately transported to a local hospital for treatment…
