The University of Colorado Boulder will award about $872,000 across 16 new research projects through its 2026 Research and Innovation Seed Grant program.
The university saw a new record-high of 122 proposals from CU Boulder researchers seeking the program’s funding, up from 104 in 2025. The increase in proposals comes as the university has lost tens of millions of dollars in federal funding due to canceled grants and stop work orders.
