Western Boulder County left without electricity for a week after shutoff and downed tree

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — As of Tuesday, people in some parts of western Boulder County had been without power for a week due to a planned shutoff in high winds, but then a tree was blown onto electrical lines in the area.

According to Michelle Aguayo, an Xcel Energy spokeswoman, two crews were working to restore power on Tuesday afternoon with the hope it would be back on at some point during the day.
