A fire at an under-construction apartment complex in southeast Denver Friday evening hospitalized one firefighter but resulted in no other injuries, officials said.
The five-alarm fire near the intersection of Leetsdale Drive and South Forest Street was first reported around 6:45 p.m. Friday, a Denver Fire official said Saturday morning. They noted that crews worked through the night and will likely remain at the scene through Sunday morning to continue putting out hotspots.
“We can’t get inside to put the fire out, everything has to be done through the exterior,” the spokesperson said. “The hotspots are hidden under floors and under concealed spaces.”…
