More than 2,900 Xcel customers briefly lost power Monday morning in Boulder County, between Boulder and Louisville, making it the second week in a row with a major, albeit short, outage.
Customers lost power at 10:05 a.m. Monday, according to Xcel’s outage map. Of the 2,970 customers without power across Boulder County, 530 were in the eastern edge of Boulder, and 2,426 customers were without power northwest of Louisville.
The outages were no longer showing on the utility’s outage map by about 11 a.m., according to the utility. Power in the area turned itself off as part of Xcel’s Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings, Xcel spokesperson Sydney Isenberg said…
