One person was taken to the hospital after a driver fell asleep and veered into oncoming traffic, causing a two-car crash that sent the other driver to the hospital and temporarily closed eastbound Erie Parkway at Weld County Road 7 east of downtown Erie.
The roadway was reopened by about 2:19 p.m., according to Erie police spokesperson Amber Luttrell.
