Broomfield police seize ‘large amount of drugs’ in Walmart parking lot during arrest

DENVER (KDVR) — A man and a woman were arrested on Monday after Broomfield police say officers responded to a Walmart parking lot and seized “a large amount of drugs.”

The Broomfield Police Department said Tuesday that officers responded to the parking lot of a Walmart located on 121st Avenue after an employee called to report suspicious activity, namely that a man and a woman were “tweaking” in their vehicle.

BPD said officers located the vehicle and, after a further investigation, seized more than 27.85 grams of cocaine, 4.73 grams of ecstasy, 175 fentanyl pills, .56 grams of meth, .11 grams of amphetamines, .92 grams of ketamine, a stolen Glock 19 and $780.50 in cash.

A 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arrested and booked into the Broomfield Detention Center on charges including possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, police said…
