Sheriff: DUI, assault suspect barricades in Berthoud

DENVER (KDVR) — A DUI and assault suspect barricaded himself in a building on his property in Berthoud just after midnight on Feb. 2, according to a social media post from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

On Feb. 2, Larimer County Dispatch responded to a 911 call about an argument that evolved into an assault. The caller told deputies that the suspect pushed and repeatedly punched another victim until he was unconscious.

Investigators said that the suspect, who had reportedly been drinking, fled the scene in his vehicle, despite having a revoked license.
