Man sentenced for 2022 murder in Northglenn

NORTHGLENN, Colo. — A man who pleaded guilty to killing a man will spend over a decade in jail.

On Friday, 21-year-old Cameron Acosta was sentenced on Friday to 16 years in the Department of Corrections for the 2022 shooting death of Leon Lorenzo Dean Guerra, 21. Acosta pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in December, according to court documents. The other charges were dismissed due to a plea agreement.
