Since 1975, The Dark Horse in Boulder, Colorado, has been one of the most iconic college bars in the state. However, after over 50 years and numerous attempts to save it from being torn down, the bar announced that it will, in fact, close its doors for good next month.

For almost 51 years, the Dark Horse has served as a quirky yet iconic place for students at the University of Colorado to watch college football games, as well as the meeting place for alumni to get together to revisit their old college days.

The bar is famous for its burgers, but perhaps the most famous due to the fact that every wall and ceiling is decorated with all kinds of things, including quirky antiques, taxidermy, old magazine and newspaper clippings, and more.
The bar was also a fun place for kids, as there were always numerous arcade games, including air hockey, video games, and pool.
However, the date has been set for the last ever last call at Boulder’s iconic Dark Horse.
