Adams County sheriff’s deputy leaves department after Firestone domestic violence arrest

An Adams County sheriff’s deputy is no longer with the department after Firestone police say he hit a woman multiple times last month.

Shane Sloan, 37, was arrested Jan. 30 and charged with third-degree assault – knowingly or recklessly causing injury and child abuse through negligence – no injury.

As of Feb. 2, Sloan was no longer employed with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, according to the department. The office did not say whether Sloan was terminated or resigned…
