Suspect arrested in connection to attacks on 2 runners in Denver

DENVER (KKTV) – A man accused of attacking two runners in Denver last month has been arrested, police announced Monday.

The first assault happened on the evening of Jan. 7 in the 1300 block of Grant Street in the city’s Platt Park neighborhood. According to 11 News sister station CBS Denver, which spoke to a good Samaritan who intervened, the suspect knocked the woman to the ground and tried to strangle her.

“I start jogging; as I’m getting closer, I see there’s another person,” the Samaritan told CBS Denver. “I then realize there was a man attacking this one lady, on top of her … at that point I scream, ‘Hey,’ really loud to scare the guy. He then sees me, instantly sees me, gets off her, darts at me.”…
