Westminster school district to consolidate, close some schools to address declining enrollment

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Westminster Public Schools is moving forward with plans to close four schools and consolidate others.

The district said declining enrollment and budget uncertainty is making this move necessary. It’s a familiar challenge for the Denver metro area, something neighboring districts including Jeffco, Douglas County and Denver Public Schools have reckoned with in recent years.
