Lafayette father first in Colorado to receive newly approved pancreatic cancer drug

DENVER — A Lafayette father with stage 4 pancreatic cancer is believed to be the first patient in Colorado to receive a newly approved targeted therapy.

Colin Kiesel recently started taking Zenocutuzamab after the drug received approval from the Food and Drug Administration following successful trials.

“He’s had a dramatic response,” said Dr. Christopher Lieu with UCHealth. “He’s really receiving the benefit now, and that’s exciting to see.”…
