17-year-old arrested after allegedly bringing gun to Boulder school

DENVER (KDVR) — A 17-year-old was arrested for allegedly bringing a gun to school in Boulder, the Boulder Police Department told FOX31 on Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, just after 11 a.m., Boulder police received reports about a student who showed a gun to another student on the Arapahoe Ridge High School campus, before leaving school.

Windsor officer fired after violating policies, being arrested

Officers searched the nearby area but were unable to track down the student.

Later in the night on Tuesday, officers were able to locate the student, identified as a 17-year-old male, who was arrested and faces charges including:

  • Unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds
  • Unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of a handgun by a juvenile
