Officials warn of adverse conditions on Loveland Pass after overnight closure

DENVER (KDVR) — U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass was closed overnight Monday and Tuesday morning in both directions due to safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation website.

The closure was between the Interstate 70 and U.S. 6 junction for Loveland Pass east of the Eisenhower Tunnel to milepost 229, about 10 miles east of Keystone.

The roadway reopened Tuesday morning, but CDOT officials warned there were still adverse conditions in the area.
