18-year-old dies after shooting in Denver park on Easter

DENVER (KDVR) — A second victim has died after a shooting at a Denver park on Easter Sunday.

The Denver Police Department said a second victim, an 18-year-old man, died from his injuries on Sunday after a shooting at Russell Square Park on Easter. This comes after the deadly shooting over a week ago that killed a 43-year-old woman.

On Sunday, April 5, around 6 p.m., police responded to the park on North Vine Street after reports of a shooting. Two victims were taken to the hospital, and a woman was later pronounced dead. The 18-year-old was in critical condition before he died from his injuries.

The day after the shooting, neighbors told FOX31 that there were more than 50 people, including many kids, at the park celebrating Easter. Parkgoers all ran for cover once the shots were fired. Tables filled with food were left into the night…
