An 86-year-old Louisville man had his charges dropped after being accused of hitting his neighbor with a dumbbell for having a smelly apartment.
Donald Meyers was arrested in November after police accused him of swinging a dumbbell at his neighbor’s head at least twice, leaving the neighbor bloodied. On April 17, Meyers’s charges were dismissed because he was found incompetent, according to Boulder County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Shannon Carbone.
Before the dismissal, he had been charged with one count of second-degree assault of an at-risk person causing injury with a weapon, and one count of first-degree burglary armed with a weapon, according to online court records…
