UCHealth just made a big land play in a small town. The Aurora-based health system has closed on more than 79 acres in Berthoud, the community along Highway 56 north of Greeley and roughly an hour north of Denver. The land sits on a key east–west corridor in northern Colorado, giving the system a sizable foothold in a fast-growing stretch of the Front Range.
According to CoStar, the deal covers the parcel listed at 3503–3641 Highway 56 and totals just over 79 acres. The report names Julie Burch and Kyle Underwood of Legend Partners, along with broker Larry Melton of Realtec Commercial Real Estate Services, as contacts on the sale. While the full item is behind a paywall, the listing and public record details indicate UCHealth has officially closed on the site.

The system’s broader network and history of adding outpatient locations and hospitals around the state are outlined on its UCHealth About page. In other words, expanding in northern Colorado would be very much on brand.
