120th Street to close for repairs for 5 months in Boulder County

Crews will close 120th Street in Boulder and Broomfield counties for about five months to widen it and add a left-turn lane.

The monthslong closure affects 120th Street between Dillon Road and the southern entrance to Rock Creek Circle near Lafayette , and will start at 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Boulder County news release. Officials plan to widen the road to add paved shoulders for anyone pulling to the side of the road, and will flatten some hills to reduce truck noise and eliminate blind spots, the release states.

The work will also include adding a left-turn lane from the northern exit from Rock Creek Circle in Lafayette onto 120th Street and some safety changes to the bridge over the Northwest Parkway in Broomfield, according to the release…
