Boaters rescued after sailboat capsizes at Chatfield State Park

DENVER (KDVR) — A group of boaters was rescued after their sailboat capsized at Chatfield State Park on Sunday afternoon, according to a post on X from South Metro Fire Rescue.

Around 1:45 p.m., South Metro Fire Rescue and Colorado Parks and Wildlife responded to reports of a water rescue needed at Chatfield State Park.

Park Rangers located a capsized sailboat and helped the occupants onto the CPW boat. South Metro Fire Rescue was on the scene and offered medical evaluations to the sailboat occupants, although it was not stated if any of the boaters required any extra medical attention…
