SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A new seven-member task force is being formed to improve and protect Siesta Key. Giving the community a chance to voice what they think is needed to maintain the area as the crown jewel of the county.
The task force has been two years in the making. Each of the five Sarasota County commissioners are choosing one representative to sit on the task force. The other two spots remain open. Any interested community member can submit an application to Sarasota County staff for a chance to sit on the task force.
