NORTH PORT — Art Yatsko was told by city officials he cannot build a home on the lot he owns in a residential neighborhood as the zoning has changed. In response, he is suing the city.
Yatsko, a retiree who lives in Rhode Island, has been working toward his dream — retiring and building a home in North Port — for 20 years, according to his representatives, the Institute for Justice, a national law firm that fights for things like property rights across the nation.
