Groups transforming Sarasota County property into place where wildlife and people can thrive

SARASOTA, Fla. — Jeanne Dubi and the Sarasota Audubon Society are managing 33 acres of land near the Celery Fields, land that was once expected to become part of an industrial park.

“If you build homes or factories close to it, the wildlife suffers because they retreat from noise and they retreat from humans,” Dubi added.
