A 38-year-old Lakeland man was killed Monday morning in a head-on crash that left a semi-truck in flames in eastern Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash, which happened around 9 a.m. on State Road 62, west of Saffold Road, also seriously injured the semi-truck driver, a 56-year-old Mulberry man, after both vehicles went off the road.
