HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought two residential structure fires on the county’s east side Tuesday.
According to fire officials, at 5:36 P.M., units were called to Las Brisas Drive in Riverview after the Emergency Dispatch Center received 911 calls from callers reporting heavy smoke coming from a residence.
First-arriving firefighters were met with heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage. Crews forced entry through the garage door and quickly suppressed the blaze.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire within 15 minutes of arrival. All occupants evacuated the house. Crews performed searches, which confirmed no occupants were in the residence.
There were no injuries to civilians or first responders. The cause was determined to be electrical.
As units cleared that scene, the 911 dispatch center received multiple 911 calls from first-party callers reporting fire coming from a house on Bridlewood Way in Brandon at 7:02 P.M.
