Hillsborough Asking Residents For Input On Plans For Community Park In Riverview

RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation is asking for the public’s input on plans for a community park in the Summerfield area in Riverview.

The 11-acre property is on the north side of Fairway Meadow Drive, adjacent to Summerfield Crossing Elementary School and the Summerfield Master Community Complex.

The property currently includes two baseball fields that need repair and refurbishment.

Beginning Jan. 25, residents can give their opinions on what kind of uses they would like at the park. Residents can register their opinions through the County’s engagement and education hub, HCFLGov.net/HCEngage , through Feb. 8. Hillsborough County will own and operate the park.

In the online survey, residents are asked what types of amenities they want at the park. Among the options are a playground, walking trail, tennis and pickleball courts, dog park, baseball field, restrooms, and a parking lot.
