Shortly after three of the best waterfront restaurants in Sarasota and Bradenton were sold , a new waterfront restaurant is set to open in the area.
Unlike the most famous waterfront restaurants in the region, which overlook bodies of water such as the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay, this new dining establishment hugs the shores of Kingfisher Lake, which is the centerpiece of the upscale new Waterside Place neighborhood on the Sarasota County side of Lakewood Ranch.
A fun, lively community, Waterside Place is already home to the excellent waterfront Italian restaurant Osteria 500 and the Mexican eatery Agave Bandido, which I reviewed in April .
Soon, guests will be able to dine nearby at the lakefront Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House, which is a short walk from the other restaurants, bars, and shops that brighten Waterside Place.
