A New FL Publix Planned For Huge, Mixed-Use Development Called “The Best Of FL Old Coastal Towns”

Some Floridians know that it’s not unusual for new Publix stores to be built by new development. After all, it makes sense to come to where customers are established. I’ve written about a new Publix opening up among luxury condos and a food hall in Miami. And now Bradenton is getting a similar situation since a new Publix is planned in a huge, mixed-use, coastal development called Seaflower.

About The Planned Publix: Florida-based Publix is reportedly the first major tenant to sign on for a planned shopping center, SeaFlower Village Center in Bradenton west of 75th Street West and south of Cortez Road.

The Publix is expected to be around 50,000 square feet with a separate Publix Liquors and plans have reportedly been submitted to Manatee County.

The shopping center will reportedly be part of a huge, mixed-use development that will include 4,000 residential units, 600 apartment units, 250 hotel rooms, plus office and retail space.

This will be a golf cart accessible community and a 2.5-mile trail will connect residents with the shopping center.
