Manatee County mother took children without permission in custody interference case; sheriff’s office

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A mother and her two sons are being sought after she took them without permission in Manatee County on Sunday, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives are looking for Lachina R. Cropes, 40, and her biological sons Isaiah (10) and David (8) Israel, after Cropes reportedly took them without permission from a residence on Rye Wilderness Trail shortly after 5 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said Cropes does not have custodial rights to either child.
