With more people flocking to Florida, the demand for healthcare services has skyrocketed. That’s why Riverview just welcomed a brand-new hospital from AdventHealth, and it’s already making waves.
A Big Investment in Riverview
AdventHealth made a major commitment to Riverview back in 2020, purchasing a 22-acre plot for nearly $4 million near the busy U.S. 301 corridor. Fast forward to today, and the $263 million project has officially opened its doors, bringing state-of-the-art healthcare right to the community.
Jason Newmyer, the CEO of AdventHealth Riverview, explained why this spot was chosen: “There are 500,000 people living within a 25-minute drive of the facility,” he told Fox 13. The goal was to build a hospital that could meet the needs of this rapidly growing population, and it looks like they’re off to a strong start.
