HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 61-year-old Gibsonton man lost his life in a crash at the intersection of Shirley Avenue and US-41 on Saturday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:00 PM. The Gibsonton man was driving a Chrysler Concorde eastbound on Shirley Avenue when he entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound Mazda CX-5 driven by a 57-year-old Tampa man.
