51-year-old Bradenton man dies in Manatee County crash, FHP says

A Bradenton man died Wednesday morning after his pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the 51-year-old man was driving a Ford F-350 west on County Road 675 near 125th Avenue East in Parrish around 9:20 a.m. when he veered into the eastbound travel lane. His vehicle sideswiped a Chevy Silverado 2500 pulling a utility trailer driven by a 20-year-old man from Riverview, according to a news release.

Investigators say the Silverado’s driver tried to avoid the crash by swerving onto the grass shoulder but was unable to get out of the way. The driver of the Ford collided with the left side of the Silverado and then hit the front-left edge of the Silverado’s trailer, causing it to detach and veer off the road, troopers said.
