Couple in The Villages could be fined over illicit landscaping bed

A landscaping bed too close to a neighbor’s property line must be removed within 30 days or the property owners could face fines, Community Development District 10 supervisors decided Thursday.

A complaint about a landscaping bed constructed without architectural approval was filed Jan. 15 against the owners of a home at 715 Congaree Loop in the Village of Osceola Hills.

The owners, Karen and Robert Dubinski, filed an application with the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and it was approved Feb. 19 with the stipulation that the concrete landscaping bed on the left side of the home must be moved at least three feet off the property line. As an alternative, the owners also could restore the property to its original condition.

If the deed compliance violation is not corrected in 30 days, the owners would face a $150 fine and daily fines of $50 until it is brought into compliance…
