NORTH PORT — Hundreds of trees were on offer for people at the 28th annual Tree Fair on Saturday.
Nonprofit People For Trees volunteers say it is the longest-running event in North Port that has been put on by the same group.
Various trees were available in 3- or 7-gallon buckets. People browsed the plethora of options like sweetgums, American elms, Dahoon holly, bald cypress, live oak, red maple, longleaf pine, and plopped their selections into People For Trees wagons to plant at home…
