Sarasota luxury condo project marks two milestones

A 10-story condominium on Golden Gate Point in Sarasota recently marked a construction milestone. The Owen was “topped off,” meaning the last steel beam was placed on the top part of the structure. When the project is finished, The Owen will contain 29 residences at the southern end of Golden Gate Point, a 22-acre peninsula near Marina Jack.

The topping-off milestone comes about halfway through the construction process. In June 2024, The Owen broke ground, and it will be completed by the second quarter of 2026, according to Van Osborne, vice president of sales for Naples-based developer The Ronto Group.

“Residents will find a stunning new condominium overlooking Sarasota Bay, the marina and the John Ringling Causeway bridge,” Osborne says. Located on 1.8 acres, The Owen will feature partial bay and marina views.

Two levels of parking will comprise the bottom floors of The Owen, with eight residential levels above them. Units start at $2.64 million and consist of three-bedroom, 3.5-bath floor plans ranging from 2,200 to 3,065 square feet under air plus glass-railed balconies with gas grills. Residents will receive climate-controlled storage rooms as well as two parking spaces, including one pre-wired for electric vehicle charging. There will be guest parking available too…
