SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A storm system developing in the northern Gulf will bring plenty of tropical moisture into our area over the weekend. The best chance of rain will be on Monday but we will see a good chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms on Sunday at anytime during the day. The best chance for moderate to heavy rain will begin late Sunday and then throughout the day on Monday with some breaks in the rain occasionally.
A First Alert Weather day will be Monday meaning we will see some heavy rain at times with some localized flooding possible. Since the ground is dry right now we are not expecting any river or stream flooding at this time.
Saturday we will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s and a feels like temperature in the low to mid 90s by the early afternoon…
