SARASOTA, Fla. (WSNN) – When Larry Jake Willis passed away on May 26 at the age of 82, the Marine died without any living relatives to mourn him.
Sound Choice Cremation spent hours trying to find someone who could sign off on Willis’ death so that he could be laid to rest.
New law increases public access to Florida beaches
“There was nobody willing to step forth and sign off for us to be able to lay him to rest,” said Chellsi Kaufman of Sound Choice Cremation.
So Kaufman and her staff reached out to their community hoping to find someone willing to step forward. The response they received was so much more than they could’ve imagined…
