VENICE, Fla. (WWSB) – Venice Police say they arrested a woman sleeping in a running car in the parking lot of the police department June 29.
According to a police report, at about 1:30 a.m., officers found the woman asleep in a Toyota sedan, with the engine running. Officers say they saw several partially consumed bottles of wine inside the car.
Officers knocked on the window to awaken the woman. She allegedly refused to roll down her windows to speak with them. Despite “stop sticks” deployed in front of her tires, she drove off, prompting police to pursue her…
