A new Bradenton restaurant serving New Jersey-style breakfast and lunch dishes, including its namesake item, has opened.
Today (July 28) is the grand opening for Pork Roll Pete’s at 4657 Cortez Road W. in the Bradenton Commons plaza, after an unadvertised soft opening, according to a press release. The shop sells bagels, other breakfast dishes and sandwiches, with ingredients from the New York and New Jersey area — including pork roll, also known as Taylor ham in northern New Jersey.
“When we first moved to Bradenton, we immediately felt the need to bring amazing Jersey food to the area,” said AJ Altes, Pork Roll Pete’s co-owner/general manager and a New Jersey native, in a statement. “There was a real gap in the market when it came to authentic Italian breakfast and lunch options. We can’t wait to show everyone how good a sandwich can be when made with the same fresh ingredients your nonna would use.”…
