‘I’d tell him to come back’: Mother of man shot and killed in St. Petersburg speaks out

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A grief-stricken mother now carries the eternal weight of losing her eldest son after he was shot and killed Tuesday evening.

According to St. Petersburg Police, Reginald L. Booth, 39, of St. Petersburg was found lying on the road on the 1200 block of 9th Avenue South around 9 p.m.

Authorities said Booth was transferred to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
